Software development · Team transformation

A thirty-person software company, run by one person.

Not long ago this was a team of thirty. Now it is one operator and an AI development team that ships twenty-plus products. The same transformation is available to your team — lower cost, more speed, and your best people moved into the seats that actually matter.

Why this matters to you
The point is not headcount. It is leverage.

Most development teams are slow and expensive for structural reasons: coordination overhead, work that goes stale the moment it is written down, and senior people spending their days on tasks a junior — or now an agent — could do.

This system removes that drag. AI does the heavy lifting. Everything is arranged visually so nothing is lost. And the work updates itself, because every task an agent completes is written straight back into the project's files.

Keep your best people. Move them into the gatekeeping seats — the judgement, the sign-off, the standards — and let the AI team do the volume underneath them.
See it working

One person. Twenty products. An entire software company.

A two-minute walk through the actual system — the day-to-day app, the project map, and the AI development team behind it.

The system, in three parts

Three apps, built to run a company. They talk to each other, so I don't have to.

Each one does a job. Together they form a loop that always knows what is going on, end to end, and updates itself without anyone maintaining it by hand.

01 · Day to day
NebulaThe operator's app
Runs on phone and desktop. Pulls four email accounts and the calendars, takes notes by voice or type, and tells me exactly what to do next — with reminders that land at the right time.

02 · The map
ConstellationThe single source of truth
A complete map of every project — schedule, facts, what's done, what's flagged. It is what keeps the AI from ever touching the wrong project. Almost entirely maintained by Claude.

03 · The workforce
Mission ControlThe AI development team
An entire software company where every employee is an AI agent — and the whole team can be replicated across projects. You brief one agent. It runs the rest.

01 Nebula · the operator's app

The system tells me exactly what to do. I just track it.

Nebula runs on my phone and my desktop. It picks up all four email accounts and the calendars, I add notes to it, and behind the scenes it references Constellation so it always knows the full picture.

It gives me three ways to see the same thing — and a to-do added by voice or text lands in exactly the right spot, with a reminder set for the right time.

  • Day view — what to do, right now. Tick it off, correct it, or speak a new one.
  • Table view — the overview across everything at once.
  • Mind map — every company, the products beneath it, every node connected and auto-updating.

02 Constellation · the map of everything

One map of every project, so the AI never goes to the wrong place.

Constellation is a complete map of every project I run, with the detail of each one held in its own files — its schedule, and its facts: what we've done, what we're up to, what's flagged.

I can add to it, but it is almost entirely maintained by Claude, which goes in and out of those project files and keeps them current all the time. It is the reason Claude never opens the wrong local folder or the wrong GitHub repository.

  • Every company → every product, mapped as connected nodes.
  • Schedule and facts on each, with flags where attention is needed.
  • Self-maintaining — agents read it on the way in, update it on the way out.

03 Mission Control · the AI development team

An entire software company, where every employee is an agent.

Picture a whole software company in which every employee is an AI agent — and the whole team can be replicated five, six, eleven times across projects. Inside it is me, and I talk to one agent only: Atlas.

Atlas runs on the most powerful model available and speaks to the head of every department — project management, customer service, clinical advisory, security, legal, data analytics, QA, back end, front end, design, training, documentation, strategy and operations. I can add an agent, remove one, give anyone new skills, and view the whole team as an org chart or as a network.

The part that controls cost

The hierarchy is deliberate, because tokens cost money.

You decide exactly who speaks to you and who burns the expensive tokens. Senior agents run on top models for judgement; the grunt work runs on the cheapest model that does the job. That single decision is most of the cost story.

What it means for your team

Cost, speed, and your people. All three move in the right direction.

01
Cost falls, structurally.

A tiered AI team means you pay top-model rates only for judgement, and next to nothing for volume. The expensive work is done by the people you choose, not by everyone.

02
Speed compounds.

Work that used to wait on coordination now happens in parallel. Drop a brief in the inbox and the right departments engage automatically — days of routing collapse into minutes.

03
Your people move up, not out.

Keep the people you want to keep. Put them in the gatekeeping roles — judgement, standards, sign-off — and let the AI team carry the volume beneath them.

04
Nothing goes stale.

Every agent reads the right context on the way in and writes its updates on the way out. Keeping the system current takes nothing — it is done as the work is done.
